I am currently working on a boho style dress. The outer facing fabric of the dress is a silk habotai that I bought about a year ago. The fabric is a border print fabric, which means laying out the garment and cutting had to be carefully done in order to match the designs on the fabric. I finally finished cutting it out along with the lining fabric which is black. As I was cutting I made sure to “piece the puzzle” together, to see how it was turning out. So far, I think it is going to look really nice.
Here is a picture of the fabric. I can’t wait until the finished product is done! Hopefully it will be done by the end of the weekend.
I wasn’t kidding when I said I am really into orange and black lately! LOL! I love this print.
I wanted to see if I could find more online to make a blouse, but alas…I can’t find it anymore. 🙁
If you are interested in border print dresses, one of the best places to find some really cute and vintage looking border print dresses is Modcloth. Here are a few of the border print dresses they have today on their site…
I will be cutting out a faux leather peplum top next. Stay tuned for my finished dress, and also the peplum top.
Until next post
