Are you RED-dy?

RED-dy for fall set on Polyvore

Here is a new set that Ciarra put together on Polyvore. I love it. Red has always been one of my favorite colors, and this set is red hot! I love the ombre nails…fabulous. The black squirrel seen here actually run wild all over the place near the C&O bike trail in Washington D.C. That is the first place we ever saw one.

Today we head out to check out the Photowalk in Williamsburg. It will be interesting to see what sort of subjects we end up taking photos of, and how they come out. I enjoy walking around Colonial Williamsburg. It has a nice charming feel to it.
Stay tuned to see the results of our picture taking! 🙂

I am still chugging along on my sewing projects, and hopefully they will continue to move along smoothly, with no hiccups.

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far…and by the way…I would love to know what you do for fun on the weekends? Don’t be shy…leave me a comment! 🙂
Until next post, have fun!

  1. That is great 🙂 It is funny you mentioned this because we stopped at Joann on the way home, and my son picked out some fleece to make a blanket throw with! He was watching me sew yesterday and asked if he could try it. Straight edges on a blanket would be a good place to start to learn to sew, wouldn't you agree? 🙂 What are your kids making? I would love to hear about it.

  2. Yes! Straight edges to start with, definitely! One of my girls made herself a stuffed My Little Pony toy. She drew out the pattern herself, and I helped to enlarge it to the size she wanted. My son is making pin cushions out of felt, and my other daughter is making a stuffed puppy. I have 2 videos on my blog of my girls making stuffed fish toys. That was their introduction to working on the sewing machine. I have an older machine that is set up in a room for my 3 children to use. I first taught each of them how to sew with a needle and thread a couple of years ago. Every scrap piece of fabric I end up with, I throw in a large box for them in their craft room. Everything gets used! It is amazing how much fabric accumulates from my sewing that gets passed on to them. I will be putting a picture on my blog of their crafts. They like me to do that! It's fun. It's becoming a family craft blog. LOL

  3. That is great. I have to check those videos out 🙂 I too save all my scraps of fabric for use in other projects. My son will be using my older machine to make his blanket. I call it "The Tank" LOL!
