My “Autumn Snapshots” outfit!

Here are the pictures of my “Autumn Snapshots” outfit. I drafted the pattern for the cowl neck top myself. I love how this pattern came out, so I plan on making a few more in different colors.
The cardigan/jacket was based on an old Vogue pattern I have, #8696. The cardi/jacket is made from some fleece I bought last year, but never got around to using. I love how warm it is! The cowl top is made from a cotton jersey. I am happy I was able to line the stripes up so well. I always get nervous when cutting out stripes or plaids.
We shot a few of the pictures on my porch before we left to the park near my house. It was a windy day today, so I wanted to make sure I had some “control” shots before arriving at the location. I had no idea what to expect of the wind. I am happy the way the pictures came out, and the wind worked with us, instead of against us.

YAY! the stripes line up well!

It’s Donald and Daisy!

It was funny trying to walk on soft ground in those shoes! I felt like I was aerating the grass! LOL! The heels kept sinking into the soft earth. I stand about 5 foot 9 to 6 feet tall in these booties!

Tomorrow I will be back at work on the faux fur coats for Ciarra and I. After that I am not sure what I will be working on next. I might make a couple of Christmas dresses?…who knows! πŸ™‚ I have so many fabrics I can play with, I really don’t need to be buying anymore just yet, even though I found some recently that I would LOVE to own! hahahah can we say fabric addiction!?

Until next post,

  1. Thank you girl! The shoes were hard to walk in through the soft grass. I just kept sinking! LOL! And I had to watch the heels when I was walking on the dock…I didn't want my shoes to slip through the slats in the boards! πŸ˜‰

  2. Gorgeous and I love the finishing on the coat – is that just a decorative stitch along the hem? It's a really nice detail. And the stripe fabric is fab too. Thanks for linking to Craftastic Monday at Sew Can Do:)

  3. Thank you Cheryl. Yes, it is a decorative stitch that I used on the hem's of the coat. I like to add special touches like that here and there sometimes. I think it makes a garment more personal and unique. πŸ™‚
