Wednesday updates, Autumn Ball set and faux fur coats

Happy Wednesday once again!!

I completed my Autumn Snapshots outfit. Yesterday I put together the cowl neck, and I have to say that I LOVE IT!!! I want to make this top again in other fabrics!!
I am just waiting on accessories to arrive in the mail now so I can shoot the pictures for it. I think I am going to go curly with my hair for the photos too. I want to have a 1970’s vibe, but brought into modern times.
John and I think we know where we might shoot the pictures for this one, but we have not locked down an exact location yet. For the last few pictures I have taken, weather has messed with our plans, and so I just shot the pictures on my porch. It will be nice to get out and about to shoot this time.

I was looking around on Polyvore today, and decided to create a set with a couple of interesting evening/ball gowns I came across. I really like the orange and ivory one. I have never really seen anything like it before. The ornate fabric just reminded me of the days of Marie Antoinette, which brought my thoughts back to the pictures I just recently took with my iphone. Colonial Williamsburg was there in Marie’s time after all! I then pictured a beautiful autumn ball taking place on the palace grounds. This of course was the inspiration for this set…

I am about to begin work on two faux fur coats! One is for my daughter, and one is for me. Ciarra really liked this pattern from BurdaStyle, and asked me if I could make it for her…

If you are interested in making this coat, then just click HERE. The fur Ciarra picked out is very much her style. I can’t wait to see how it comes out. I will start cutting the coats out tomorrow.
Faux fur can be tricky, but if you just follow the rules, it is super easy and fast to put one of these coats together. If you recall I had made a faux fur jacket not too long ago. That was more of a short pile fur. The two furs I will be working with this time are a long pile. I expect that my living room will look like two giant animals got into a nasty fight by the time I am done! LOL! My vacuum will never be the same!

I am off to workout and prep everything for tomorrow.
Have a great afternoon!
Until next post,
Amy
