YAY! I can see the brass ring!!

I would love to have a lil’ cocktail today, because I have much to celebrate. Upon review, I only have a couple more classes and then I have a degree in Fashion! YAY!!
I am going to be reviewing the classes that are left to take with my advisor soon, and then I will have a projected graduation date. I am going to feel so good when I have completed everything. I may or may not take classes in summer in order to get it done faster, but we shall see. I usually take the summers off, so that my family can have me all to themselves, and I can rest my brain, BUT…If it will mean that I get it all done and earlier than expected, then I think it might be worth it.
I am just so darn excited and not to mention happy that I will soon be closing that chapter of my life.

I have been meaning to post this set that I made a while ago, but I never got around to it. I love the sunny lemony colors here! I have always liked the citrus theme and colors. I find them so vibrant and happy. These days I am all about being happy. Sure…I have my crappy days where things don’t go right, but I suck it up, take a breath and move on to being happy again. You DO truly make your own bliss. I feel so very thankful everyday for everything I have. I have worked so hard to be where I am right now. No regrets!!

I also wanted to add that we have the new URL for our new blog now, and are slowly working on getting our thoughts organized and post ideas scripted out. I am in no hurry, as both my husband and I have a lot on our plates right now. We have to sit down and have a little brain storming session this weekend as to what we want to post first. Stay tuned…more info on the way!

For my construction/draping and flat pattern class, our first project is going to be a godet skirt. I will be making the skirt for my daughter to wear. We are allowed to use whatever fashion fabric we want, so Ciarra and I will be going though my fabric stash to see what is there tonight. I hope I have something she will like. I will probably post pictures of the finished skirt here.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far!
Keep smiling!
Until next post,
