Cupid Dress finished, and more…

I have finished the “Cupid Dress” and it looks so pretty on Ciarra. We will be taking photos of her wearing it, and posting them in the next few days.

I am going to be making some jackets, coats, and some sundresses in the next couple of weeks. I designed a vintage inspired sundress, and I need to go and grab a few supplies for that before I make it. I will be working on the pattern for it today.

In the future I also plan on making some coats and shirts for my husband! I have been wanting to make something for him for a long time now. I want to make him a nice wool coat. The shirts should be easy to make.

This past weekend my hubby and I had “date night” where we had a nice meal, and then went to see a movie. It had been a long time since we went out alone, due to the fact that we have been so busy working on the house. We had a great time. The next day however I was not feeling well, and spent some serious time on the couch!! All the excitement and stress of getting the house ready to sell, and the worrying about getting it sold, really has taken its toll on me. So when I FINALLY got to relax and cut loose a bit, all that tension was let go, and WHAM! It was like I got smacked by a wall of “hey chick! mellow the hell out!!” I ended up napping the entire day to make up for lost sleep (which there was a lot of lost sleep)
Here are a couple of pics I took while walking around after we had dinner…

Looking down a street in Colonial Williamsburg

A pretty pasture as the sun was starting to set. I love the crepe myrtle tree.

Another view of the fence, further down the way.

Our house is still waiting for a buyer. It has only been on the market a couple of weeks, so we shall see what happens. The houses on my street usually sell in two to three months, but some take longer…we just have no idea what will happen yet. It is all a waiting game. Being that I have been a Coast Guard wife for 18 years, I know the “waiting game” well. I ask that everyone out there think good thoughts for my family, and that our home will sell soon. Thank you for your support ๐Ÿ™‚ I really appreciate it!

I am looking forward to tomorrow and spending some time outdoors. This summer has been a wacky one in terms of weather. We have had a lot of wind and cruddy weather. I am wondering what will happen this winter? Last winter…well…where was it? LOL! We are due for a good cold and snowy winter. I wonder if this will be the year? The last good winter we had was 2008 I think? I am hoping we have a bright colorful fall this year followed by a white Christmas! That would be great. Who knows though…only time will tell!!

A picture I took last fall while walking through Colonial Williamsburg for Photowalk.

I hope everyone is having a beautiful summer, stay tuned for more…
Until next post,
Amy
