……………..hurry up and wait………………

Home at last…I can’t wait to be able to say that again.

And the wait continues…….

Our home has been on the market just over two months. We have had a few showings, and still no solid bite. My whole family is getting rather restless, especially me, as I can not work the way I want because at any second I can receive a call, and have to be out the door so strangers can walk through my home. I do not like this in the least. Anyone out there who has ever worked in a creative field knows that when you start a creative process, and you get into “the zone” just having to stop, get distracted and walk away, can royally screw that process up! In a nut shell, is sucks arse. I have so many amazing things planned, and garments to make to sell, yet I have not had a solid block of time to work on any of it since this house went on the market. We already have a plan “B” in the works (renting this house instead of selling!) because Ciarra’s school is in the new town we are moving to, and so is my son’s co-op!! We need to get on with it. This move is not just about getting a bigger house…it is about my kids being closer to school and getting on with their lives!
Frustrated does not begin to cover how I feel right now. I will feel like I can exhale once we have moved….I am sick of holding my breath.

Mid-September, my family and I will be taking a small vacation to Smith Mountain Lake. This is the area where they filmed the movie Dirty Dancing. We need to get the hell out of dodge, and spend some family time away from all the stress and hell that is selling a house. I am so utterly sick of it.

“The Lift” …I love this movie

Recognize the hotel???

Fall is in just 26 days. Our trip to the lake is a fitting way to end the summer. Soon the weather will be cold, and the leaves will be orange, red, and yellow. Apple picking will be on the agenda soon, which my kids and I can’t wait for. Soren is already asking me to make him apple pie! My french apple pie is his favorite treat. It is so mouth watering when served warm, with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top.

I need to get back to work on some things here around the house. I hope to be posting some items I have made soon…again…just as a reminder, I have been going through hell with home matters here.
Thank you so much for your patience.

Until next post,
Amy

  1. huge huge hugs – good luck with the sale. I spent most of my childhood moving and it never gets easier… I can't imagine when someday we decide to move our family. Big deep breaths – and remember you don't need a gazillion buyers, just the right ONE.
