If you know me, then you know how much I adore Audrey Hepburn. She was such an amazing lady, with such an air of sophistication and class about her. She never “over styled” anything when it came to her fashion choices, and she always looked so chic and put together. In a nutshell, she was the ultimate elegant lady.
When I put together this fashion set below, It totally reminded me of her…and so came the inspiration for my simple “Audrey” jumper dress…
I do like the tan plaid tweed that this jumper is made from (it’s Dolce and Gabanna) but was having a hard time finding something similar that I liked. So I settled on a plain chocolate brown plaid suiting for my jumper. If I were to make this one again, I would definitely hunt down a lighter or brighter tweed. Who knows…it was so easy to put together, I just might make another…
Here are some pics of Audrey Hepburn in Jumper style dresses….

And here is my “Audrey” jumper dress. I have styled it three ways. The first is with the black mohair turtleneck dress that I made, then with a cream colored ribbed turtle neck, and finally with a crisp classic style white shirt.

|This outfit is WARM! Hence the reason pics were not shot outdoors. It’s not cold enough yet.|

I like the black sweater and white shirt best with the jumper dress. This is obviously a very modest look, and meant to keep one warm (as it does! believe me) I am still trying to decide what style of black coat to make that I could wear with this outfit.
I am now working on a blouse. I hope to get it finished this week. I also have more blouses and jackets on my list to make. I will of course posting them up as I complete them.
Until next post,
