WEAR PINK…or in my case, CREATE with PINK! Will you join me??

In October I love to bring out the fall colors, and wear ridiculously obsessive amounts of orange. But there is also another color I like to pull out this month…one of my favorite colors….PINK!
This is breast cancer awareness month ladies and gentlemen, and it is time to show our support! My cousin and My grandmother (who I wrote about in a post last year) are both breast cancer survivors. My grandmother was an expert with a needle and sewing machine. This is where I get my sewing talents from, so I feel it is very appropriate to create something in pink this month…in fact, there are two things I would like to get sewn this month. My pink galaxy dress, and my blush pink coat!!
I would love it if others would join me in creating something…anything…in your favorite shade of pink to wear to support the cause. It could be something as simple as a scarf, or as complicated as a couture ball gown!! Or for the gents out there, perhaps a shirt? (YES..men can get breast cancer too! And they sure as hell can have a woman in their life who fights it!)
Please help bring awareness! Wear and sew with pink!!! And ladies…make sure to schedule your appointments for a breast cancer screening. I have one done every year.

I have a viking costume to put together, my blouses and tops to finish, but I will gladly take the time to make my pink garments to show my support!!

Will you join me??? What would you put together?? How do you support breast cancer awareness? Do you take part in any fund raisers? Do you perhaps run a race? PLEASE SHARE! Leave your responses in the comment boxes below.

I hope to hear from lots of people on this one. Show your support!

This morning I posted my sweatshirts at the following link parties. Check them out for cool ideas, recipes and outfit inspiration…

I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!
