What I’m working on now…two skirts and a dress

I am working on putting together two skirts, and a simple mock wrap dress right now. I started prepping patterns yesterday, and today I will cut out the pieces.

The skirts I am making look something like this…

I will be making this style with a plaid. Keep reading to see the fabric and why I chose it.

I will be making a jersey skirt like this out of the fabric listed below

All of these skirts pictured here are from ASOS. You can check out their skirts HERE. I had originally seen this ASOS skirt in a fashion magazine, and when I went to buy it, it was sold out in my size!! 🙁 I decided I would make a plaid skirt of my own, and in it would be my signature color!

Skirt from ASOS I wanted, but was sold out in my size!

Here is the fabric I picked to make my plaid skirt out of….

It has no zippers, just elastic! I am hoping this comes together quickly. I will be making the dress out of this…

This is a Challis fabric. It has awesome drape to it.

Besides the sewing projects, I am in the process of putting my finals together for this school semester! I will be done in just two weeks. I have a 3-5 page paper to write for my history class, and a big photo shoot to put together for my styling class. I will be posting up photos of that when I am done. It is a 6-look editorial type spread. I am sure it is going to be fun to shoot.

Here a couple of link parties I posted up my “Technicolor Coatigan” on. If you have something you would like to post, or just want to see what other bloggers are up to, check them out…

Back to work for me!! Have a great day today everyone!
