Hello everyone!
It has been a while since I last blogged about anything, and in one of my previous posts I had mentioned that I made a dress, but was waiting until there was more color change before I would shoot the photo’s for it.
The time has finally arrived. Just as I predicted, on or around Halloween we would receive more color, with November 1st bringing peak color.
I made this cocktail dress to wear on Thanksgiving. I wanted something fun and a bit retro to celebrate our first Thanksgiving in our new home.
Without further ado…Here is the dress…

All I kept thinking was “WARM!” Lol! |

Orange shoes from Shoedazzle. I love autumn, so of course I loved this fabric. I think it works for this 1960’s cocktail dress silhouette. |

I love how the color from the dress leaps into the trees behind me…or is it the other way around! |

This was a few days ago when we were taking some test shots around my house. |
So there it is. My fun vintage like Thanksgiving day dress. It really matches the trees around our home right now.
I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! We had a great time here. I posted pictures up on my Instagram account here, as well as some scenic photos from our freezing cold/rainy bike ride yesterday…it was fun!
Until next post,
Have a great coming week,
Amy
