I have been receiving several questions lately about a dress I made a few years ago called the “Cherry Sprinkles Dress”. I thought I would update all the info surrounding this popular post from my old blog.
This dress came about by taking apart an old garment I had made, and refashioning it for my daughter, into a replica of one that Reese Witherspoon wears in the movie ‘Sweet home Alabama’.
A lot of people liked this dress and asked me if I was going to make these. The answer is yes, but this is a special order item for now.
The original dress was made of a regular 100% cotton. There is enough of this exact fabric to make one more ( possibly two?) but I will have a petite cherry print (that looks the same) available in a lighter cotton lawn, and a beautifully draping crepe. The off the shoulder rose print dress (here) is made In a cotton lawn, and the bishop sleeve dress (here) is made of the crepe, which should give you an idea of how these fabrics drape ( just imagine it in a cherry print) I prefer the lawn, and the crepe, over the original fabric this dress was made from, which isn’t as soft and pretty as the lawn or crepe.
If you are serious about purchasing this dress, then simply use the “custom design services” form found on our home page (here). Send your request, size, and which fabrics you are interested in, and we will get back to you with the proper information and price information.
*I can also make this dress in other colors and prints. Just let us know what you are looking for and we can create it, or find it for you.
Thank you so much for your support and interest
