3 of my favorite things post #2
As you can see from the featured image for this post, all 3 of my favorite things in post #2 are related to the ocean or water! I absolutely love living where we do, because we have access to the ocean and seashore, as well as rivers and lakes! All with in walking or short driving distance.
There is nothing I love more in summer, than motoring across the water in our boat! It is hot and humid during the summer months where we live, and when you get out on the water, it is around 10 degrees cooler. There are times after we have been playing in the water, that we actually need to put a lightweight jacket on! riding across the water gives such a feeling of freedom. It’s like being away on vacation, yet we are close to home.
#2-Hawaiian Black Lava Salt
I absolutely love Hawaiian black lava salt. I recently picked some up from the bulk bin at my local Whole Foods. I love the flavor of this salt on my eggs! It is very potent, and a little goes a long way. The black color comes from charcoal. This makes the salt detoxifying. I like to interchange this salt with my regular Himalayan pink salt. Here is a bit more info on this amazing salt. If you can’t find it locally, you can order it online.
#3-Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen!
Yes folks, another thing in the favorites lineup with “Hawaiian” in the title! LOL! I have always adored the smell of Hawaiian Tropic brand tanning and sunscreen products. To me this smell =SUMMER!! If they bottled this scent, I would totally wear it! I really love the moisture sunscreen. I have totally switched my beauty products to only include items with no weird chemicals in them… but this one…yeah…until I can find something that actually works like this does, and smells this fantastic, I am not giving it up. I have tried more “natural” sunscreens, and they go on totally uneven, or they leave a gross while chalky residue everywhere. If someone out there knows of natural sunscreen that really works, and isn’t gross to put on, then PLEASE! by all means let me know of it in the comments below!! I would love to give it a try.
What are some of your favorite things? Do you also enjoy the three things I have listed here in the lineup? What types of sunscreen do you use? As mentioned above, if anyone actually knows of a good “natural” type sunscreen out there (that doesn’t smell disgusting and goes on nice and smooth) please leave a comment below. I would love to test it out for myself.
Be on the lookout for post number 3 in this series! Enjoy the rest of your week!
