September Vintage Photo Challenge
It is time again for our Vintage Photo Challenge! This month we went with a photo that I posted in my in my “Nighttime Photography” board on Pinterest a while ago. It is also in my “Vintage Fashion Magazines” board. The photo that inspired us this month is of Gia Carangi for Harper’s Bazaar Italia circa 1978. I love the moodiness and sheer glam of this Seventies picture! It’s one of my favorites.
Gia Carangi was considered one of the first supermodels of the era, and unfortunately her supersonic shot to fame, ended on a tragic note. To learn more about her life, you can read about it HERE, or you can even watch the movie “Gia” starring Angelina Jolie.
Here is the original photo….
And Here is ours…..
I made the sequin cami Ciarra is wearing here. The pants came from Ciarra’s own wardrobe, and the blazer, and kimono are mine. It was a lot of fun to shoot these photos! I absolutely love being outdoors at night! The world is a completely different place, and the vibe is one of mystery, drama, and excitement! There are challenges of course when trying to shoot in low light, but worth it when you grab that epic dramatic money shot! I can’t wait to do this again!
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as we did talking them. Make sure to follow this blog, so you don’t miss the October Photo Challenge!
Until Next Time,
