On day 13 of this blog series, I am very thankful for the fact that I have healthy food to eat. There are people in the world who are not lucky enough to have access to any sort of nutrition at all, so the fact that I have access to foods from all over the world, I am truly grateful. I never take this fact for granted. When most people think of those who have no food, and are hungry, they think of some far off location in a foreign country, while all the while right under our noses, there are people in the USA who do not even get 3 meals a day, let alone one on most days. This makes me so sad considering the wealth that surrounds us all. Please help by contributing food to your local food bank. I also recommend looking into charities that feed children and families in your local area. Charity begins at home, and a country is only strong when the basic needs of everyone in it are met. We are all in this together, and each of us are trying to survive. Help someone in need survive another day by filling their belly with the basic need of food.
