Day 5-Beautiful Night Sky

Happy Monday everyone! On Day 5 of my “30 Days Of Being Thankful” I am thankful for the beautiful night sky. When I was younger, I would often venture out at night with my friends, and head to one of many amazing “lookout” spots, and spend hours just talking and laughing under the beautiful night sky. There is something so magical about being out under a star filled sky, literally watching the heavens move. As I got older, I never lost my love and fascination with the evening sky. I have seen many amazing moon rises, shooting stars, and even a moment when I saw something…shall we say…unexplained (I will never forget that as long as I live!) I also adore looking at amazing night photography, especially when amazing views are a part of the composition.

The night sky has always fascinated me. It reminds us that we are but microscopic fragments in a vast and unending universe.

I remember a scene like this back in the late 90s with my friends. The moon looked amazing over the ocean.

When my husband and I were first married. We went camping in Northern CA. I remember opening the tent to go outside at 3am, and there were so many stars it shocked me. I could see them moving!

Sleeping under the stars…the way humanity was supposed to do it!

This is an actual view from my childhood! While the city lights would unfortunately drown out most of the starlight, you could still see a few, and being above the city like that was just peaceful.

Do you like to stargaze? Do you have any amazing memories that took place under a night sky? Have you ever seen anything in the sky unusual? Please comment and share! What are you thankful for today?

Until tomorrow!

Have an amazing week,

Amy
