Blush Star Print Lounge Dress
I have completed my second version of the lounge dress I made in cranberry red velvet, which you can see here. For this version I made the sleeve one seamless piece, already attached to the bodice of the dress.
The fabric used here was a lightweight blush and metallic silver print, which has two way stretch. Normally I would only use a 4-way stretch fabric for this, but I really wanted to see how this fabric would perform for this purpose. While it is ok, I will only stick to a 4-way stretch from now on. It just makes for a better fit.
This star fabric was a bit tighter around my arms (as I have muscle on my arms) The 4-way velvet version, has more give in the arms for me.
Ciarra will be shooting photos in this dress today, so that everyone can see how versatile this dress is for not only wearing in the comfort of your own home, but also out and about running errands.
As I stated in the velvet dress post, I am thinking of starting a “basics” line. This dress would be a part of that. If you didn’t share feedback on the red dress post, I would love it if you head over there now to vote…I’d really appreciate it! Thank you.
Until Next Post,
